NEW* Singing For Musical Theatre
The ABRSM has released the syllabus for Singing for Musical Theatre. I am delighted to confirm that I am now teaching this subject and can enter students for their grade exams with the ABRSM.
Students study warm-up techniques and extend their range safely in lessons. Dynamics and expression are explored to support the performance of songs available on the Singing for Musical Theatre syllabus. Three piano-accompanied songs and one without accompaniment are learned in combination with other study repertoire to improve technique, pitching, breathing and stamina.
The other requirements of this syllabus include sight-singing and musical understanding and response. These are also learned in lessons so all students will develop a good grasp of reading musical notation.
